Installing Renewable Energy
It is possible to install on-site renewable energy generation, such as photovoltaic (solar) panels or a solar thermal heating system, to meet some of your energy needs. Installing renewable energy represents an investment which can yield a favorable return over time as the generation system pays for itself by reducing your energy costs. Purchasing Renewable Energy
"Clean" energy is produced using a fuel source that can be replenished. Examples include solar, wind, biomass, hydroelectric and geothermal. Electricity from these sources displaces generation that relies on non-renewable fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas. You can support the production of clean energy by signing up for Connecticut's Clean Energy Options program. By doing so you can help to curb greenhouse gases and contribute towards Connecticut’s energy future.
