Consider Renewable Energy

If you are interested in energy from a clean renewable source, you have two options:
  1. You can install a renewable energy systems at your home or busisness; or,
  2. You can purchase renewable energy from your electric provider.
Installing Renewable Energy

It is possible to install on-site renewable energy generation, such as photovoltaic (solar) panels or a solar thermal heating system, to meet some of your energy needs. Installing renewable energy represents an investment which can yield a favorable return over time as the generation system pays for itself by reducing your energy costs. There are financial incentives available to Connecticut's residents and commercial consumers.  Follow these links for more information.

Purchasing Renewable Energy

"Clean" energy is produced using a fuel source that can be replenished. Examples include solar, wind, biomass, hydroelectric and geothermal. Electricity from these sources displaces generation that relies on non-renewable fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas. You can support the production of clean energy by signing up for Connecticut's Clean Energy Options program. By doing so you can help to curb greenhouse gases and contribute towards Connecticut’s energy future.
